I visit Laredo on a regular basis and sometimes I go to one of the local High School tracks to do some running.  The guard person is an older man who used to be a police officer in the San Antonio P.D.  He told me that around 1952 - 1953 a school bus was hit by a train in San Antonio and seversl kids were killed.

Around 1970-1972 he happened to be driving with his wife on this road when he saw a young girl ( 10 - 12 years) asking for a ride.  As the police officer he was obliged and was concerned that a girl that young would be in such a situation.  He asked her where she lived.  He arrived at that home and got out to verify the address. To his surprise when he mentioned her name and that she was in his car, the man who opened the door became very upset.  That was the name of his daughter who had died in a  bus accident 20 years earlier.  When he went to the car there was no sign of the girl.  Moreover, he told me that in the intersection where the crash occurred a strange phenomena still occurs.

If you park a car over the train tracks and leave it in neutral, it will sudenly start slowly moving away. One time he says they put powder on the trunk of the car and after feeling the movement they went to the rear and saw prints of small hands, as if they were pushing this car away from the track.

If you ever want to contact him, I can direct you.  I personally can not attest to the credibility of these events but I wanted to share this with you in case you would like to one day meet this person.  Sincerely, L.T.

Well, that certainly is interesting.  Yes, I would like to meet him.  Have him write me or e-mail me. Thank you L.T.

The story of the "haunted tracks" is a long running one from San Antonio.  People for years have been visiting this place and attest to having their vehicles pushed over and away from the tracks.  It's quite riveting and visitors swear to the validity of the haunting.

But I have to admit I've never had a personal account of  someone ( especially a respected authority like a police officer) giving a ride to a ghost, especially one of the poor children who lost their lives in that tragic bus accident.  That makes his paranormal experience even more compelling!

I was about 14 when my parents decided to take my family to Gettysburg, the site where  many battles in the civil war took place.  We were staying in the Cashtown Inn and it was our last night.

Someone earlier had told us that the inn where we were staying was "haunted."  I didn't think too much about it and kind of laughed to myself.  After all, I didn't believe in ghosts!  As we finished packing on our last  night and were getting ready for bed, my 12 year old sister said "it's too bad we didn't see a ghost."

But I could tell my sister was actually relieved and glad our trip was undisturbed.  Later that night after my sister and mother had gone to bed, I was still up watching T.V.  Suddenly the television turned off.  I rolled my eyes and reminded myself to tell the front desk in the morning.  I was getting a little tired and before long, I fell asleep.

About an hour or so later, I woke up.  Feeling thirsty, I thought I'd get a bottle of water.   But something strange happened.  I tried to get up from my bed, but  I couldn't move.   It felt like someone was pushing down on my chest.  Across the room I saw the image of a man.

I was too shocked to try to get up again.  As quickly as I saw him, he was gone and the pressure on my chest vanished.  After that night, I realized that the ghost who had held me down, actually tried to save me.  Later I found out that what happened to me had happened before to others staying at the Cashtown Inn.

Thank you Paige for sharing your paranormal account at the haunted CASHTOWN INN in Gettysburg.  It appears that you were being protected by a ghost!   Many visitors to Gettysburg report paranormal acitivity.  Check our ghostly photos!

I recently had knee replacement  and I've been through a lot of discomfort.  I noticed the other day there was a  sudden drop in temperature, "cold spots" in my room that could not be explained.  Now it seems to happen in the morning once or twice  and again when I'm about to go to bed.  I've been taking some pics because I see my cat look at the same spot in my room every night.  I'm waiting for it to happen again today so I can take pictures of the room to see if I pick up any orbs.  I don't know what is causing the cold spots.

But after my first knee replacement a friend of mine came to visit.  She is very sensitive to surroundings.  Everything was normal just talking and all of a sudden all the hair on her neck and arms stood up.  At that point we both smelled the perfume my grandmother used to wear.  My friend said something felt like it went right through her.

My grandmother didn't live in this house but I was her favorite grandson.  Could she be visiting me?

Perhaps your grandma is trying to tell you she is with you and this is her way of letting you know "you are not alone."  I think it's her way of comforting you, especially if you were her favorite grandson.

Spirits, especially female sometimes make their presence known through scents.  It is not uncommon to smell flowers, lavender or other sweet smells when a female spirit is closeby.

As for "cold spots" they can signify the presence of a ghost.  Spirits are said to cause sudden drops in room temperature. It's possible that your grandmother is trying to make her presence known especially when you awake in the morning and when you retire for the night. You've been in a lot of discomfort.  She could be closeby to let you know she is with you.
